Home Improvement Loans

Is your home in need of repairs or home improvements? Neighborhood Lending Services, Inc. (NLS) has the loans and services you need to get the job done right.

NLS is a state-licensed, nonprofit mortgage lender that offers affordable, fixed-rate home improvement loans for large or small needs. These may range from general home improvements, such as a new kitchen, roof, siding, central air-conditioning, etc., to home safety improvements such as correcting dangerous electrical problems or hazardous heating systems.

Please keep the following in mind:

• NLS Home Improvement Loans have repayment terms up to 20 years, with affordable interest rates and no prepayment penalties.

• Forgivable loans are available in tandem with Home Improvement loans to help with home repairs (income limits and eligibility requirements apply)

• Qualified homeowners with an ITIN are eligible for Home Improvement loans

• Income eligibility and other restrictions may apply.

Construction Services

The NHS Construction Services team can assist you by assessing your property for needed repairs and prioritizing them; writing the scope of work; reviewing contractor bids for selection by the homeowner; and conducting periodic site inspections on behalf of the lender (NLS) prior to the owner disbursing payment to the contractors.

Licensed, insured contractors must perform all home improvement work financed with NLS loans and an NHS Construction Specialist will be assigned to the project to guide you through the construction process. LEARN MORE
