Greening Your Vintage Home. NHS’ Historic Chicago Greystone Initiative® holds regular workshops on practical, affordable ways to ‘green’ your vintage home. The workshops highlight strategies for making homes more energy efficient, improving indoor air quality, and conserving resources. A key goal of this workshop is to demonstrate how thoughtful improvements can enhance the performance and comfort of a vintage home, while preserving the materials and architectural details that make it unique. 

Home Safety. The Chicago Home Safety Partnership (CHSP) hosts free home safety workshops for community residents across Chicago. Workshop participants gain valuable information that helps them lower utility costs, ensure family safety, and protect their homes from fire and other hazards.
