Homeownership Consultant – Homeownership Services
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide both pre- and post-purchase homeownership counseling to low- and moderate-income Chicagoans; teach the four-part pre-purchase education classes one evening per week; provide foreclosure prevention counseling to homeowners at risk of foreclosure and manage pre-purchase programs.

Reporting to various internal and external customers

QUALIFICATIONS
Two years work experience; experience in mortgage lending/processing, real estate sales, credit counseling or other counseling preferred. Spanish language skills may be required for many NHS locations.
Loan Originator – Lending Services
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To originate all NHS/NLS loan/grant products; to pre-qualify prospective homebuyers and borrowers; to market NHS/NLS products and services and generate loan applications to meet NHS/NLS annual and strategic goals in NHS neighborhoods and throughout Chicago and Elgin.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum five years work experience, with minimum three years in mortgage lending required. Must meet all registration/certification requirements for a Loan Originator as defined by the State of Illinois. Spanish language skills may be required for many NHS locations.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Neighborhood Director is responsible for managing the local staff and program; works cooperatively with a neighborhood advisory council; develops plans and strategies: and directs staff in meeting NHS’ annual goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in community development work and working with not-for-profit volunteer boards and committees. Demonstrated ability to bring new resources/partnerships to the community. Demonstrated ability in coalition building with organizations and people who may have diverse goals. Strong supervisory and management skills required. Computer literacy. Sufficient knowledge of residential lending and construction to oversee and monitor staff activity. Spanish language skills may be required for many NHS locations.
